Black History Month Presentation

February 24 @ 2:00 am - 3:00 pm

Black History month Celebration

On Sunday, February 24th, we welcome researchers from the Little Bertie County Genealogy Society for an afternoon of relearning American History at the special program Revisiting American History: What The History Books Didn’t Tell You About Slavery. Researchers will will present an overview of African slavery and African Free People of Color in the antebellum south, as well as their research specifically about the lives of their own families through the lens of the slaves and free people of color in North Carolina. This gripping and informative program begins at 2:00 p.m. in the Conference Room.
