Theater O is excited to announce AUDITIONS for their early winter presentation of THE STINKY CHEESE MAN & OTHER FAIRLY STUPID TALES by John Glore on October 5 and 6 at Theater O.

Artistic Director Jessica Irons says, “This production looks to be loads of fun. Once again, we are bringing fresh, dynamic theater to our community with a play that reimagines stories we all grew up with.” THE STINKY CHEESE MAN & OTHER FAIRLY STUPID TALES, for students in 1st through 6th grades, is based the book by Jon Scieszka & Lane Smith.

The story is a collection of famous children’s fairy tales told in a new, and maybe a little twisted, way. There are familiar characters such as The Ugly Duckling, The Gingerbread Man and Little Red Riding Hood but their tales have been completely turned around. Playful music and witty narration add to the merriment of the show. Rehearsals will run from November 26 through December 18 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Check our web-site for audition sign-ups and updates. Note that not every actor will be called every day. Rehearsals will be in time slots from 6:30-7:30pm and 7:30-8:30pm. Performances are set for Friday, December 19 and Saturday, December 20 at 7pm at Bethany Arts Community, 40 Somerstown Road, Ossining.
