Theater Production of “Irena Sendler — Rescuing the Rescuer” Through a kaleidoscope of characters, Libby Skala brings to life the riveting true story of Irena Sendler, a Polish Catholic social worker who defies Nazi rule to save 2,500 Jewish children during WWII. Her story remains lost until three Protestant high school students from rural Kansas find an old clipping, launching them on a journey to discover how one person can change the course of history.
