Curbside Pickup at the Ossining Library

Due to Covid, the Ossining Public Library currently offers Curbside Pick Up. With your Ossining Library Card, you can search and request items from a large collection of books, CDs and DVDs.

To put a book or other item on hold please visit The Westchester Library System website, log in with your library card information (if you don’t have one you can request one here) and once you make your selection click on “Place Hold.” Once your item is ready to be picked up you’ll be notified by phone call, text or email.

Once the hold is ready (it usually takes between 48 and 72 hours) drive to the library and text “check in” to (914) 918-0720. You’ll get a link where you’ll be asked for your name and library card number. At this point you are live chatting with the circulation staff who will locate your items and put them outside on the table to the left of the front entrance.

The library is also offering Craft Kits, STEM kits and Early Literacy Bags for kids on select days (more info here). You don’t need an appointment for the bags, which are given on first come first serve basis.

Hours for Curbside Pickup are:

  • Mondays, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
