UPDATED 6-17-21 – For 2021 the spray park re opened on Saturday May 29th. The Spray Park is open 7 days a week from 12pm-7pm.
The Spray Park will be closed on Wednesdays from June 30 – August 4 from 9am-3pm for Summer Camp Use.
WHERE IS THE OSSINING SPRAY PARK LOCATED?
Ossining’s outdoor spray park is located at the far end of the Louis Engel Park. Louis Engel is also known as “The Waterfront” Park. People interchangeably refer to the spray park as the splash pad, splash park or water park. Whatever you call it, it’s great for the kids in the summer heat.
The splash pad was resurfaced and upgraded in 2019 thanks to a $100,000 NYS capital grant secured by Senator Carlucci. It’s colorful, soft and a fun spot for kids of all ages.
When is the Spray Park open in 2021?
The spray park re opened in 2021 on May 29th from 12pm-7pm daily, and will remain open until Labor Day.
In 2020 a limited number of children were able to use the spray park at any one time, and physical distancing was required. Masks were required for the check-in process, which included signing in and getting temperatures checked by an Ossining Rec. There are no limits in the number of children, masks requirements or temperature checks in 2021.
During the 2019 summer season, the splash park first opened in late May on weekends from 12pm-7pm, and starting July 1st it was open daily 12pm-7pm. During Day Camp season in the summer, it was open to the public on Wednesdays starting at 3pm, with 12pm-3pm reserved for campers.
Are There Any Days During the Summer When the Spray Park is Closed?
The spray park is generally closed on the day of Ossining’s annual fireworks display, and as needed in the event of the Splash Park needing repairs. There will be no 4th of July fireworks on 2021.
