Halloween this year is going to be a bit different. But we’re determined the make the most of it. That’s pretty much required when you have kids! So far we’ve done what we usually do: carve pumpkins, decorate the house (inside and out), convince the kids to rake the leaves since it’s a “Halloween tradition,” and take a Halloween Drive around Ossining.
Last year we visited The Scariest House in Ossining (closed this year) and The Crotonville Halloween Home (open this year with modifications). This year we discovered the Iroquois Rd Halloween House and the new Halloween Light Show at Jenkins Court!
Below are some pictures we took at 47 Iroquois Rd!
Iroquois Road was already a popular spot around the holidays, as Ossining resident Andre Platt has been decorating his 50 Iroquois Rd home with a “Winter Wonderland” 50,000-light display for over 25 years. He invites visitors to see his decorated front lawn and also his backyard where you can walk through a 40-foot light tunnel and peer into a life-sized Santa’s workshop!
The good people at 47 Iroquois deck out their home in a huge variety of Halloween decorations. Our personal favorite is the skeleton tree.
Check out the house while you can. Thank you 47 Iroquois for putting this together!
