Morningside is in the Town of Ossining and the Ossining School District, but much of the area has a Briarcliff address. The topography is rolling, with glades and plateaus, giving each home a unique setting. The lots are predominantly 1/2 acre to 1 acre. Ryder Park, on Morningside Drive, has a wide range of amenities and facilities.
The homes here were mostly custom built, but there are a few small subdivisions of 6 or 8 homes, and several private lanes that are enclaves full of interesting homes. There are a wide variety of homes from some older farm structures, Tudor Revivals, Colonials and a smattering of Capes and Mid-Century Modern homes. The unifying theme is the romance of the country setting.
