Stuffed Animal Sleepover at the Library

One of my favorite things about living in Ossining is that we have an amazing library. This is where I met my mom group (new moms: check out the infant support group every Monday at 11am!) and where we’ve spent countless mornings and afternoons taking advantage of the fun activities they have to offer.
A few days ago it was the yearly Stuffed Animal Sleepover for kids.
This is how OPL Kids describes the activity:

“We’re hosting a very special party! Bring your stuffed animal and join us for a bedtime-themed story time at the library (wear your pajamas if you’d like!). Your stuffed animal will get to enjoy a sleepover at the library! What do stuffed animals do at a sleepover? You’ll find out when you pick yours up on Wednesday, August 21! This adorable program is for children of all ages; children 6 and under must be with an adult.”

The event this year was super popular with the most attendees ever, but the Children’s Program Room was big enough for all of us.

Tricia Sabini led the activity. The kids sang songs, listened to stories, decorated a frame, and finally left their stuffed animals for a night at the library.
Here you can see some photos of the event:

The next day, we picked up the stuffed animals and the decorated frames with a picture of each kid, and saw all the fun that the stuffed animals had overnight at the library! You can see all the pictures the librarians took by following this link or clicking on the image below.

Thank you Tricia and everyone else at the OPL for putting on this great yearly event for our children!

If you read this and haven’t yet joined with your kids, put a reminder on the calendar or in your phone to join in the fun next year!
