Forest O’Fears – The Haunting at Cedar Lane & Halloween Family Fun Festival.
When: October 18-19 & 25-26. Festival Dates are 25-26 only
Where: Cedar Lane Park
The Forest O’Fears was created in 2014 by a stay-at-home mom looking to create something fun and unique within the community that everyone could enjoy. Halloween is one of her favorite holidays, so she came up with the idea of a haunted attraction. When considering a home for the haunt, Cedar Lane Park was the obvious choice—its location, size, and isolation made it the perfect spot for a scare! The event is built and produced by more than 100 volunteers—75% are between the ages of 8 and 17.
Oct. 18-19th includes the haunted abandoned building and trails of horror. Guests will be guided up a dark, winding trail to a two-story haunted house where they will enter at their own peril. Upon exiting the house, guests will be directed down the trail of horror leading to their final destination – the haunted pavilion. (Please note: The trail will be purposefully confining so anyone who suffers from claustrophobia should refrain from this walk.)Throughout this walk, multiple things will be taking place. We suggest guests be at least 13 years old to participate.
Oct. 25-26 will feature the Family Fun Field and Halloween Festival in addition to the Haunted Attraction. Families (FUN FOR ALL AGES) can enjoy crafts, games, zombie laser tag, an un-haunted hayride and “hay” maze. There will be a beer tent, food trucks and a DJ plus various other vendors. Tickets for the Halloween festival are $10 for kids and adults are $5 – exact change only – and can be purchased at the entrance the night of the event. Kids’ tickets include 10 free game tickets. Additional game tickets can be purchased at the price of 5 for $1. Laser tag is not included and is $5 pp per 15 min.
