Cedar Lane Park

Ossining’s Cedar Lane Park (open in Google Maps) is a large park serving a number of uses. It’s home to Ossining’s best dog park (much larger than the other enclosed dog park at Ryder Park), the Cedar Lane Arts Center, the Ossining Community Organic Garden, a large football/soccer field, and more. Cedar Lane Park is on edge of the New Castle section of Ossining.

The dog park is up the hill a bit, somewhat hidden away in the woods. It has 2 fenced areas, one large and with different play features for the dogs.

The Ossining Organic Community Garden is a fenced area on the far side of the pond with assigned plots in raised beds, and access to hoses to water your fruits and veggies. The plots are available to Village & Town of Ossining residents. Plot registration happens every year in February.

The Cedar Lane Arts Center, next to the garden, has a wide range of arts programs for youth and adults. See the Ossining Recreation & Parks Department’s latest brochure (should be downloadable at this link) for program details.

Parking is available once you’re inside the park in a few locations. The main parking areas are next to the Community Garden/Cedar Lane Arts Center, in front of the main athletic field, and up by the dog park.
