Takahashi and Marting are developing The Story Box, which uses a traditional form of Japanese storytelling called, kamishibai, to compare the lives a Japanese American today to a girl living in a 1943 internment camp. They will share an excerpted reading of the work then guide the audience through a group storytelling event. Participating audience members will select an image from which they will be invited to share a story about their own American experience with a small group of other audience members. They will follow the exploration with a talkback to ascertain audience reactions. In this way, the audience will have an opportunity to play an important role in developing the work.  More info about this event.

We LOVE the Mary Knoll Fall festival every year! Great for kids of all ages and SUCH a beautiful part of Ossining – trees and overlooking the river is just gorgeous. Lots of activities even for the littlest, and good vendors! Not crazy at all. Very manageable for families.
