Property Description

29 Waller Ave is an elegant turn of the century colonial with a Gilded Age aspect. Fine craftsmen expertly crafted the many architectural features and details, and the house has been carefully updated and modernized so as to be low maintenance and spiritually correct for the home. 29 Waller has good sized rooms, and there are four large bays of windows to illuminate its charm and quality. There is a large dry basement and the mechanics are all proper. The third-floor space is artistically finished storage.

The fenced and well-landscaped yard will only get better and better as it all matures, like the fruit trees! It’s an easy walk to the Ossining Train Station and Riverfront Parks and Concerts as well as the Central Village with farmers market, fairs, festivals, restaurants, cool shops, the Recreation and Aquatic Center and much more.

Just move in and enjoy this house, the Ossining Central Village, and the lifestyle they afford!

What's In the Area?

29 Waller Ave is close to a number of Ossining’s many parks and playgrounds. Here are a few, with driving distance to each (per Google Maps):

It is 2 minutes to Nelson Park (large fields, great playground, tennis courts, .35 mile paved path) and Nelson Sitting Park (fun playground), 3 minutes to the Sing Sing Kill Greenway (beautiful stroll in the Sing Sing Kill gorge), 4 minutes from Snowden Avenue Park (fun playground, skate park), 4 minutes to Richard Wishnie Park (.33 mile paved walkway around a reservoir), 4 minutes to Sparta Park (playground, picnic tables and river views), 4 minutes to waterfront parks Henry Gourdine and Louis Engel (playgrounds, walking paths, grills, beaches, spray park and more), 5 minutes to Arthur J Jones Park (great playground and small basketball court), 7 minutes to Veteran’s Park (LOTS to do here), 7 minutes to Crawbuckie Park and Nature Preserve (winding trails along the Hudson River in a beautiful setting), and 8 minutes to Cedar Lane Park (dog park, Cedar Lane Arts Center, Organic Community Garden and more). You can see pictures of each park at the links above.

You’re also 12 minutes to 1000-acre nature preserve Teatown Reservation, 4 minutes to the award-winning Ossining Public Library, 3 minutes to the Ossining Rec Center (and indoor pool) and around the corner from Main Street (Farmer’s Market and many restaurants, First Village Coffee, Sing Sing Kill Brewery and more), and 5 minutes to the Ossining Train Station.

What about supermarkets? Your closest supermarket is CTown (in Ossining, great produce!), a 4-minute drive. You’re also 5 minutes in different directions from ACME Markets (Briarcliff) and Stop & Shop (Ossining). You’re 10 minutes from Mrs. Greens (in Briarcliff, generally pricier organic food), 11 minutes from DeCicco (in Millwood, lots of tasty food and tons of craft beers), 20 minutes from 2 Whole Foods (in Chappaqua and White Plains) and 23 minutes from Trader Joe’s (Hartsdale). Wholesale clubs? BJ’s (in Yorktown) is 22 minutes, Costco in Yonkers is 25 minutes, and Costco in Port Chester is 30 minutes.

What about supermarket delivery to your home (with online purchases)? Whole Foods delivers to Ossining through Amazon Prime. Stop & Shop and Shop Rite both deliver to Ossining, and Instacart offers delivery for many supermarkets, wholesale clubs, pharmacies and more.

Walking to the Ossining Train Station takes 10 minutes. You’re right around the corner from so much of what the Ossining village has to offer, that much of the above is also an easy walk.
